Assist in the marketing of a variety of community events through the distribution of marketing collateral. Street team members will be expected to post collateral in local business, pass out fliers or deliver marketing materials throughout the Atlanta area. Must be willing to travel and interact with LOTS of people! Ability to work nights and weekends is a MUST.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Represent the Atlanta Beat and its respective partners and sponsors at events in the community year-round
• Fulfill sponsor commitments and obligations through handouts and promotions at all street team events
• Set up and transport the various elements of the Atlanta Beat Street Team (including: truck, inflatables, prize wheel, tables, tents, etc) at area events, team practices, festivals, and at all events including tournaments, leagues, and Atlanta Beat home games
• Sell Atlanta Beat single game tickets at select street team events
• Act on behalf of the Atlanta Beat and its respective partners and sponsors with pride and professionalism
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with internal and external staff and clients
• Fundamental knowledge of the Atlanta Beat, Women’s Professional Soccer, global soccer, and the local Atlanta community
• Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed

Job Summary: Assist Head Team Manager with the daily operation of the Boston Breakers’ locker room, equipment management, and practice/game set up.
Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
• Attend all home practice to assist with field and equipment management as needed.
• Oversee laundry operations for team equipment.
• Manage volunteers during the set up and break down of team locker rooms at home games.
• Assist the Head Equipment Manager with inventory of player’s equipment and locker room supplies.
• Assist the Head Equipment Manager with distribution of official team apparel.
• Help prepare player and team equipment for team travel.
• Coordinate pick up and delivery of team apparel with local vendors.
Requirements: Preferred if the applicant is pursuing a degree in Sport or Recreation Management, or a related field, from an accredited college or university. A background and interest in soccer is preferred. This position requires applicant to have daily interaction with coaches and professional athletes, therefore a professional repertoire must be adhered to. Applicant must be able to work nights and weekends as needed. Ideally, this position would run from the start of the season, late February, to the end of the season, in August. Applicant pool may influence start and end dates. This is a non – paid internship.

The FC Gold Pride Operations Department is looking for highly motivated, detailed oriented college students, who are organized and able to work effectively with others. Our interns are given a great deal of responsibility while covering a wide variety of the FC Gold Pride team and business duties. This would be a great opportunity to learn about event management and event presentation. College credit is available per the college’s requirements; please see your advisor regarding credit.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
EVENT MANAGEMENT
• Responsible for pre-game, in-game, halftime, postgame events and set-up requirements.
• Coordinate with Director of Operations in the creation of game day checklists that all event staff will follow.
• Coordinate with ticket sales, sponsorships, and media departments to ensure that all requirements for day of game set-up, giveaways, signage, etc. are met.
• Coordinate with security, parking, sector coordinators, field crew, distribution, guest services, police, and EMTs to ensure a successful event for the players and fans.
• Assist with accreditation and parking for staff and volunteers.
• Responsible for storage and inventory control (e.g. field boards and event equipment)
• Assist with receiving shipments and distribution.
• Have an opportunity to run an operations meeting and game day status meeting.
GAME PRESENTATION
• Create and execute game day entertainment elements (e.g. pregame contests, in-game promotions, halftime contests) that are fun and exciting for the fans.
• Develop music playlists for each game to ensure a fun and festive atmosphere.
• Coordinate with sponsorships in the creation of the game day script
• Coordinate with Director of Operations in the creation of the timeline
• Work with PA announcer, making sure that he/she has all necessary material to do a great job.
• Responsible for scheduling anthem singers and color guards for each game
• Coordinate sound check with anthem singers and your sound crew.
• Manage the promotional crew that will help you with your entertainment elements.
VOLUNTEERS
• Assist the Director of Operations with the management of the volunteer program.
• Coordinate with volunteers prior to each game to confirm participation
• Responsible for checking in all volunteers making sure that they have all the appropriate game day information and proper uniform.
• Assist in answering any questions volunteers may have.
Hours can range from 30-40 hours per week, in addition to working games and special events. Interns must be willing to get dirty and work in the elements with a smile on their face. Interns should be able to lift up to 40lbs without restraint since we will be moving signage, boxes, and whatever else is necessary.
Most games will be in the evening over the weekend, but we will have some midweek games in the summer.
Prefer to have people who have event management experience, especially in game presentation, but is willing to work with eager people interested in experiencing the world of events.

Sky Blue FC, 2009 Women's Professional Soccer champion, is looking for interns in the following areas:
Operations – This candidate will prepare game day promotional plan, including merchandise, promotions, stadium set-up. Also will be able to attends various events and tournaments to help market Sky Blue FC.
Tickets Sales– This candidate will help support the analysis of purchasing habits and target marketing initiatives. Assist in all aspects of group sales including discount, sponsor, corporate partner and promotional ticket campaigns. Collect, organize and import new customer and prospect leads. Assist the research of industry trends and possible opportunities for sales. Assist in the implementation of special events.
Marketing/Public Relations – Research into various media outlets: (print, radio, and online). Need a candidate that is well-versed in electronic media (web links, blogs, Facebook, etc.). Also will be asked to write and design flyers for our marketing materials.

- Serve as the visiting team liaison
- Help coordinate with sales, sponsorship, media and marketing departments to ensure that all requirements for day of game set-up, giveaways, signage, and so forth are met
- Have regular contact with parking, security, field crew, and guest services
- Work closely with professional sports operations department in all aspects of operations including distribution of equipment, set-up, accreditation processes, and inventory control.

Washington Freedom is seeking a Grassroots Marketing Intern to provide hands on support in the planning and execution stages of the Grassroots Marketing Department. Intern will report directly to the Grassroots Marketing and Media Manager for all duties and must demonstrate strong organization and communication skills.

The Washington Freedom is actively recruiting internship candidates for the 2010 season.
The Washington Freedom internship program offers college students the opportunity to take the first step into the sporting industry. Internships with the Freedom are unpaid, but provide valuable training experience for students. Interns must be enrolled at an accredited four or five-year college or university leading to a bachelor or advanced degree and must receive college/university credit for their internship. The student must be able to provide proof of his or her college/university credit prior to starting their internship. Internships are part-time based on student availability and department needs.
It is our goal to select the best students for its internship program. The Freedom accepts both undergraduate and graduate students into this program. Students are eligible for an internship after completing his or her freshman year, however, most of our interns are at the junior level or above.

The Washington Freedom, a new franchise in Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) seeks a passionate, highly motivated intern for the Sponsorship Sales & Servicing team. This position is responsible for supporting the Sponsorship Sales & Servicing team with all aspects of the Washington Freedom’s sponsorship activities.
